Under 11 U.S.C. ยง502(c)., a bankruptcy court must estimate any claim for allowance purposes that is (i) contingent or unliquidated, the liquidation of which would "unduly delay" the administration of the bankruptcy case, or (ii) a right to payment based upon an equitable remedy for breach of performance. A debtor or party in interest may file this motion.
Step-byStep Procedure

Select [Bankruptcy>Motions/Applications]

Enter Case Number,click Next

Verify you are docketing on the correct case.

Select Estimate Claim Pursuant to 11USC 502(c) from pick list, click Next

Select Party from party pick list or Add/Create New Party , click Next
The Attorney/Party Association screen may display. If it does, click here.

The Claims Options Menu will display
- Select the appropriate radio button based on your case
- Click Next
If you receive a Stop Message, back up and select the correct radio button -

Claim Filed on Court Register
The Claims Selection Screen will display
You can sort the listing by creditor name and claim #
- Select the correct claim number from list by highlighting the claim number (the Claim number will appear in the box)

Click Next
Claim Listed on Schedules, No Claim Filed (Chapter 11 only) or Claims Noticing Agent
The name of the Claimant Screen will display

Enter name of the claimant
- Click Next

The PDF Document Selection screen will display
Next, the Proposed Order must be added as an attachment to the notice of motion and motion.
Click Yes radio button for Attachment to Document and click Next

The Hearing Screen will display. Insert, hearing date, time, and location, click Next
- Click, Next
- The Final Text screen will display
This is your final opportunity to modify the entry before submitting the filing.
- Click Next to complete the process
The Notice of Electronic Filling will display. It serves as verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.
Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case. You have a period of 15 days for a one time free look at the documents.
